The Art Legends Tattoo Expo is giving a welcoming platform for artist just like her to have an equal chance to be successful in this industry, just like she’s been fortunate to do. A networking ground for artist of all types no matter the race or gender to be able to come together and partner together for a successful weekend event and more.

CAROLYN REEVES WAS BORN AND RAISED IN GARY, INDIANA. SHES BEEN TATTOOING FOR 9 YEARS AND IS SELF TAUGHT. SHE FIRST MOVED TO TEXAS IN 2016 AND STARTED AT HER FIRST EVER SHOP BOSS INK IN 2017. SHE NOW OWNS DALLAS FIRST BLACK WOMAN OWNED AND RAN TATTOO SHOP OPENING BACK WHEN SHE WAS JUST 25 IN SEPTEMBER 2020. SHES IS NOW 28 YEARS OLD AND HER STYLE OF TATTOOING IS MOSTLY COLOR REALISM AND COVERUP BUT SHE DOES A LOT OF BLACK AND GRAY WORK AND LETTERING. WITH HER SHOP HAVING ALL WOMEN ARTIST, IT CREATES A SAFE HAVEN FOR MANY WOMEN WHO WANTS TO FEEL AT EASE AND IN A SAFE SPACE WHILE GETTING THEIR TATTOO OR PIERCING.
SHE’S ALSO OPENED HER DOORS TO WOMEN WHO HAS HAD THE URGE TO TATTOO BUT DIDNT KNOW WHERE TO START MUCH LIKE HERSELF. SHE WASNT FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO FIND SOMEONE WHO WAS WILLING TO TEACH HER THE RIGHT WAY WHEN SHE STARTED BACK IN 2013 AND HAD TO FIGURE IT OUT ON HER OWN. SHE OFFERING ONE ON ONE CLASSES TO TEACH THE BASICS OF TATTOOING TO BEGINNERS, ONE ON ONES FOR ARTIST WHO KNOWS HOW TO TATTOO BUT NEEDS HELP PERFECTING A CERTAIN AREA AND ONE ON ONE COLOR CLASSES AS WELL AS ONE ON ONES FOR COVERUPS.
SHE IS NOW FOLLOWING HER HEART WITH HER NEXT STEP IN THE INDUSTRY BY HAVING HER VERY OWN TATTOO CONVENTION. SHE WANTS TO SHOW THAT THERE IS NO LIMIT WHEN YOU SET YOUR MIND AND HEART TOWARDS SOMETHING AND GIVE IT YOUR ALL. LETS GIVE HER HER FLOWERS AND PROPS FOR THE STEPS SHE IS MAKING IN THE TATTOO INDUSTRY AND MAKING A NAME FOR HERSELF.
